Wolseong Nuclear Power plant(Naa-ri, Yangnm-myeon, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do)

Wolseong Nuclear Power plant is operating four PHWRs (Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor) offering a cumulated capacity of 2.779 kW, for 22.65 kWh of electric power every year. Since its first commercial operation in 1983, Wolseong No. 1 was ranked No.1 and No.2 three times each for its utilization rate among the 432 nuclear reactors nationwide. No.2, No.3, and No.4 have also demonstrated their capacities as superior reactors through their operational results. Shin Wolseong No.1 and No2 are planned to construct until 2011, and 2012.
